Kestner’s death investigated in Wisconsin

Former Rembrandt resident Justin Kestner died Dec. 21 in a Wisconsin prison, while serving a 35-year sentence for robbing convenience stores in Sioux City.

Kestner, 26, a former student of Sioux Central High School, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Dodge Correctional Institution on the morning of Dec. 21. Responding staff attempted to resuscitate Kestner, but were unsuccessful.
