A dog-gone good cause

Representatives of Rally4Veterans and the Urbandale-based non-profit
Puppy Jake Foundation met at Rally Point in Laurens. Rally4Veterans
founder Vani Ahlers presented Puppy Jake CEO Becky Beach with a
check for $20,000. The funds were raised in a multi-county effort to
provide the money needed to train a service dog for an Iowa veteran.

$20,000 donation helps Laurens group pair service dog with veteran

Mission accomplished! On Dec. 12, Laurens-based Rally4Veterans welcomed guests from the Puppy Jake Foundation to the Busiest Little Town in Iowa to present the non-profit group a check for $20,000. The funds raised by Rally4Veterans will be used to train a service dog for an Iowa veteran.
