Mustangs clinch second place in district after 42-6 triumph

Reed Kruse rushed for a career-high 213 yards and five touchdowns as Newell-Fonda regrouped from a loss the previous week with a 42-6 thumping of West Bend-Mallard in a district game last Friday at Newell.

The win, coupled with Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire’s loss to Harris-Lake Park last Friday, clinched second place in the district and a spot in the state playoffs for the Mustangs.
