BV buys insurance against hackers

Cyber-liability plan costs $4,450

The Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors approved a cyber liability insurance policy that would protect taxpayers from the risk of hackers stealing taxpayers information, as staff determined the county was compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
