Newell-Fonda can’t make plays in district showdown loss to Harris-Lake Park

No. 8 Mustangs fall to No. 4 Wolves, 33-27

Brian Wilken said his team’s district showdown with Harris-Lake Park would come down to blocking and tackling.

Boy, was he ever right.

No. 4-ranked Harris-Lake Park was better at those two fundamentals than No. 8 Newell-Fonda, and as a result, the Wolves took over sole possession of first place in the district after a 33-27 win last Friday at Lake Park.
