Father’s parental rights while in prison restored by appeals court

The Iowa Court of Appeals overturned a Pocahontas County ruling that terminated a father’s parental rights while he was prison at in the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility.

A Pocahontas County father, “Duane” and his partner “Jessica” together birthed a child, R.C., in December 2012 out of wedlock. Shortly thereafter, substance abuse defined the relationship among the three.
