No. 3 Woodbury Central too much for Sioux Central in region semifinals

Woodbury Central used a nine-run fourth inning to pull away from a one-run lead as the third-ranked Wildcats ended Sioux Central’s season with a 15-1 win in a Class 2A regional semifinal game last Friday at Moville.

Woodbury Central scored a run in the second inning and then sent 13 batters to the plate in the fourth inning when the Wildcats scored nine times to take a 10-0 lead.

Sioux Central scored a run in the bottom of the fourth. The Wildcats added five more runs in the sixth and finished with 12 hits in the game.
