Why not raise the 1916 high water mark a half-foot?


All sorts of interesting ideas about how to improve Storm Lake have been floated through the years. Last week, experts from Iowa State University and the Department of Natural Resources discussed a) dredging more b) putting in three more islands as wavebreaks or c) raising the level of the lake by a half-foot to a foot.
