No. 4 Alta-Aurelia cruises to another runaway win

Cristena Heschke collected two hits and three RBI and Class 2A No. 4-ranked Alta-Aurelia used a nine-run first inning to beat Clay Central-Everly 13-1 in a nonconference game played last Thursday in Alta.

The Warriors scored three runs in the third and one more in the fourth to end the game by the 12-run mercy rule.

Alta-Aurelia finished with 13 hits in the game. Micah Barnes, D.J. Flores, Jenna Snyder, Jacee Ahnemann and Maddy Duhn all had two hits apiece.
