Laurens-Marathon builds early lead in beating Twin Lakes rival St. Mary’s
Laurens-Marathon scored three runs in the top of the first and added three more in the second to build a big lead early and the Chargers went on to defeat Storm Lake St. Mary’s 9-0 on Monday.
The Chargers plated three more runs in the seventh inning.
Laurens-Marathon finished with 12 hits in the game. Kenzie Sullivan led the way by going 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBI. Brooke Runneberg added two hits and drove in three runs.
