SL girls turn in best game of season to date

Devon Madden delivered an RBI single, but it wasn’t enough as LeMars defeated Storm Lake 7-1 in a Lakes Conference game on Wednesday night at Tornado Field.

Storm Lake managed seven hits in the game. Nyajouk Lam had two singles. Naomi Castillo, Tessa DeWall, Madison Gaffney and Emalie Xayavath each added a single.

Gaffney suffered the loss. She allowed nine hits and seven runs, five of which were earned, walked two and struck out four over seven innings.
