SL man cited after theft, death threat


A threat occurred at 10 p.m. Sunday at 426A West Ninth St., according to Storm Lake Police.       

Police were told that Francisco Rodriguez-Lopez, 35, of Storm Lake, came to the reporting party’s residence and accused him of stealing some property and then threatened to kill the reporting party.

At 11:30 p.m. Sunday, police learned he was at 430 Seneca St., where he was arrested.

Police charged Rodriguez-Lopez with harassment and booked him into the county jail on a $1,000 bond.        

 

Wanted person jailed


Police arrested Genevieve Reyes, 26, of Storm Lake on Thursday at 6:55 p.m., who was wanted on a warrant in connection with the charge of contempt of court in reference to driving while suspended.

Reyes was booked into the county jail and was held without bond.

 

Wanted woman arrested


A wanted person was located at 111 East 10th St. #3 on Thursday at 9:45 p.m. Police arrested Christie Houtman, 31, of Storm Lake, who was wanted on a warrant charging her with theft. She was booked into the county jail on a $300 bond.

 

Man jailed on OWI charges


A wanted person was located at 200 East Ninth St. on May 9 at 7:50 p.m. Police arrested Miguel Rivera, 22, of Storm Lake, who was wanted on a warrant out of BV County for failure to appear in court in reference to an OWI and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the county jail on a $2,000 bond.

 

Wanted SL man jailed


On Sunday at 11 a.m. police made contact with Rene Montiel-Oliva, 48, of Storm Lake in reference to an investigation into a city code violation incident.

Police were told that he was wanted out of BV County in connection with an OWI offense. Montiel-Oliva was booked into the county jail and was held without bond.

 

Man arrested after fight


A suspicious person was observed near Bob’s Garage at 1309 East Lakeshore Drive Saturday morning at 1:16 a.m.

Police made contact with Matthew McKibben, 27, of Linn Grove and say he was intoxicated. Police learned that McKibben had just been kicked out of Puff’s Bar after being involved in a fight with a second person who fled from the scene.

Police arrested McKibben and charged him with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

He was booked into the county jail on a $600 bond.

At 3:10 p.m. Saturday police located the second person in the fight, Jesse Munger, 24, of Storm Lake at 714 Seneca St.

Police arrested Munger and charged him with disorderly conduct and booked him into the county jail on a $300 bond.

 

Fight reported at Malarky’s


A fight was reported at Malarky’s Night Club on Saturday at 1:59 a.m. Police were directed to the parking lot where police made contact with RJ Pettingill, 34, of Ingleside, Texas.

After an investigation police arrested Pettingill and charged him with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

He was booked into BV County Jail on a $600 bond.

Police were told by night club staff that a second person refused to leave the night club but fled when police were called.

Police located the second person near Puff’s Bar on East Lakeshore Drive and took him into custody.

Donald Ramsey, 40, of Portland, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

He was booked into the county jail on a $600 bond.
