SL wins final 2 doubles matches to knock off rival Cherokee, 5-4

Storm Lake won the final two doubles matches to rally for a 5-4 win over Lakes Conference rival Cherokee in a boys tennis match last Thursday.

The match was even at 3-3 after singles play. The Tornadoes got wins from Ross Dewerff at No. 1 10-7, Jake Luedtke at No. 3 10-3 and Danny Souksay at No. 5 by a score of 10-3.

Cherokee won the first doubles match to go ahead 4-3, but Storm Lake got a 10-6 win from Luedtke and Souksay at No. 2 and a 10-7 win from Caleb Hinners and Tanner Hoops at No. 3 to pull out the win.
