Four men arrested in SL burglary
A burglary was reported Monday at 5:30 p.m. at 710 Geisinger Road apartment #5.
Police met with the reporting party who told police that someone had entered the apartment and removed cash and items valued at $400.
Police collected names of individuals who were identified as people of interest in connection with the incident.
At 7:02 p.m. Monday an officer on patrol observed a vehicle with four occupants parked at 801 Erie St. Police made contact with the occupants and observed stolen items from the Geisinger Street burglary inside the vehicle.
Police took four men into custody and allege that they located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The four men are Alex Case, 21, Christopher Kenefick, 21 and a 16-year-old boy from Storm Lake and Zachary Nierling, 18, of Early.
Police charged Case with theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the county jail on a $2,300 bond. Kenefick was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and was booked on a $1,300 bond.
Nierling was charged with theft and booked on a $1,000 bond. The 16-year-old was charged with theft and released to a parent pending a court date in juvenile court.
