SL boys netters pick up huge win at Cherokee

Storm Lake won the last four matches in singles play before winning the doubles match at No. 2 to clinch a 5-4 Lakes Conference victory over Cherokee on Monday at Cherokee.

After Cherokee won the first two singles matches, Storm Lake reeled off four straight victories to take a 4-2 lead. Caleb Hinners won 10-0 at No. 2 and Jake Luedtke prevailed 10-6 at No. 3.

Brett Dewerff posted a 10-4 win at No. 4 and Tanner Hoops won 10-7 at No. 5.

In doubles, Luedtke and Brett Dewerff sealed the dual with an 11-9 win at No. 2.
