Newell-Fonda girls break school record for lowest 9-hole

Jade Hess fired a 43 to capture medalist honors as Newell-Fonda broke a school record for lowest nine-hole team score as the Mustangs beat Pocahontas Area by 35 strokes in a Twin Lakes Conference girls dual golf meet last Thursday at Newell.

The Mustangs carded a 194 and the Indians shot a 229.

Morgan Magnussen golfed a 49 for Newell-Fonda. Brooke Belcher and Abby Christensen each shot a 51. Claudia Larsen had a 57 and Morgan Hurd a 58.

BRADY DICKS fired a 38 to claim medalist honors as Newell-Fonda won the boys meet by 18 strokes, 160-178.
