Melanie Hauser first learned to knit in Eugene, Ore. as a stress relief from the rigors of graduate work in chemistry. She has been addicted ever since and has knitted everything from socks to shawls in every color of the rainbow. Melanie is also a quilter and is passionate about sharing her fiber arts habit with everyone she knows. She has taught numerous friends how to knit. She resides in Storm Lake and teaches chemistry at Buena Vista University.
