BVU high jumper leaps close to 6-10 in meet

Nolan Sampson wasted no time setting the tone in the men’s high jump for others around both the Iowa Conference and the nation as he cleared 6 feet, 93⁄4 inches during day two action at the Viking Olympics hosted by Augustana College (Ill.) last Saturday.

Although it’s early in the outdoor season, Sampson's jump is still the best mark at both the conference and DIII level.  He tied with Monmouth’s Rob Wallace in the event, as the duo cleared 13⁄4  inches better than the next finisher.
