SL girls soccer coach hopes ball control leads to more victories

Alison Myrtue hopes that by keeping the ball away from their opponents, it will translate into more wins.

That’s the philosophy the new Storm Lake girls soccer coach plans to abide by this season.

Myrtue, who is also the assistant coach at Buena Vista University, wants her team to dominate time of ball possession.

“If we can control and possess the ball, I have no doubt that we will win the majority of our games,” she said.
