SLPD notes a trickling in over the past few years

Heroin is slowly becoming the hardcore drug of choice for rural residents ahead of methamphetamine.

Leaders in Washington believe a reason for the comeback is prescription pain-pill addicts have switched to heroin because pills are becoming more expensive or less accessible.
