You can make a difference by donating blood

Donating blood can have a major impact on the lives of local hospital patients in our community. It is estimated that 90% of the population over the age of 70 will need donated blood at some point in their life and there is no substitute for human blood. Blood cannot be manufactured; it can only be given by blood donors.

While 38% of the population is eligible to give blood, less than 10% actually do.
