Saturday bath and streaking

When we were young, about a century ago, we always had a bath on Saturday. We usually took it in the afternoon but sometimes in the evening. We got the bath whether we needed it or not and I’m sure we needed it. The first three homes I remember living in did not have a bathtub and one of them did not have water in the house. We had to pump water for food, washing clothes or bathing.
