Alta-Aurelia no match for HMS, 70-44

Micah Barnes scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out three assists, but it wasn’t enough as Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn ended Alta-Aurelia’s season with a 70-44 setback in the first round of the Class 2A regional tournament last Saturday at Hartley.
 
HMS jumped out to a 12-7 lead after the first quarter. It was 29-18 at halftime and 51-33 after the third quarter.
 
Jenna Snyder charted seven points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Warriors. Izzy Hinkeldey added seven points.
