St. Mary’s shoots 22 percent in setback to Pocahontas

Pocahontas Area scored 27 points in the second quarter to take control of the game as the Indians went on to hand Storm Lake St. Mary’s a 75-28 setback in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday night at Pocahontas.

The Indians led 12-3 after the first quarter. It was 39-12 at halftime and 58-21 going into the fourth period.

Michael Demers led St. Mary’s with seven points and three rebounds. Josh Demers had six points and seven rebounds, and Ian Schaller six points.

Moses Yak scored four points, Kyle Besaw three and Joe Kottke two. Yak cleared five rebounds.
