Demers’ 40 not enough for St. Mary’s

Jasmine Demers poured in 40 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and added five assists, three blocked shots and two steals, but it wasn’t enough as Kingsley-Pierson knocked off Storm Lake St. Mary’s 71-61 in a nonconference game last Saturday at St. Mary’s.

The Panthers held a 22-18 lead after the first quarter. It was 33-33 at halftime and 48-45 Kingsley-Pierson heading into the fourth period.

Trisha Lenhart charted nine points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers. Mackenzie Laven added seven points.
