Man arrested after struggle with police

On Sunday morning at 3:04 a.m. the Storm Lake Police Department was called to 116 Irving St. after a report of an assault in progress.

Police met with a 23-year-old female who reported to police that Domonick Tribble, 26, of Laurens had allegedly engaged in an argument with the female victim outside of her residence.

She reported that Tribble assaulted her and began dragging her by her hair down the street, while striking her in the head with his fist.

Witnesses to the incident called 911 and reported the incident.

As officers arrived, Tribble fled on foot and a foot pursuit ensued.

Officers chased Tribble for approximately two blocks, catching him near the intersection of East Lakeshore Drive and Cayuga Street.

According to police, Tribble struggled with officers.

He was eventually subdued and was taken into custody.

Police charged Tribble with assault causing bodily injury and interference with official acts.        

He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1,300 bond.

The woman was treated at the scene by Buena Vista County Paramedics.

She suffered abrasions on her back and the loss of a large patch of hair pulled from her scalp.
