SL woman cited for using man’s credit card
On Monday, Jan. 13 Storm Lake Police took a report of theft of a wallet and unauthorized use of a credit card.
Police were told by the reporting party that on Sunday at 11 p.m. he misplaced his wallet at the Storm Lake McDonalds.
The victim reported the incident to McDonalds staff but they were unable to locate the wallet Sunday night.
On Monday the victim observed unauthorized charges being made on his debit card which was in his missing wallet.
The other charges had been made at Casey's Central in Storm Lake and at a gas station in Fort Dodge.
Storm Lake Police conducted an investigation and after viewing the security footage at the Casey's Store, identified a suspect.
Police say Delois Lenior, 50, of Storm Lake was working at the McDonalds when the victim's wallet went missing.
Police say that Lenior failed to report it and used the debit card and cash in the wallet for her own use in Storm Lake and Fort Dodge.
On Wednesday at 3 p.m. police located Lenior at 516 1/2 Lake Avenue #2 and took her into custody. Police charged her with unauthorized use of a credit card and theft.
She was booked on a $2,300 bond. The investigation is continuing.
