Sioux Central can’t recover from slow start

Christian Sylvester scored 18 points and handed out three assists, but it wasn’t enough as Prairie Valley defeated Sioux Central 49-42 in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at Sioux Rapids.

Prairie Valley jumped out to a 12-7 lead after the first quarter and led 23-18 at halftime. It was 32-29 heading into the fourth period of play.

Parker Habben had 15 points, 15 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals for the Rebels, now 1-2 in the league and 3-5 overall. Tim Saunders added five points, 10 rebounds and two assists.
