Man cited for breach of no contact order


Storm Lake Police took a report in connection with a violation of a no contact order Tuesday morning.

Police were told that Skyler Foley, 19, of Storm Lake, had contacted a 17-year-old female after a court order had been issued following an alleged domestic assault, prohibiting him from any contact with the victim.

At noon on Tuesday police located Foley at 210 East 13th Street #28 and took him into custody.

Storm Lake Police charged Foley with violation of a no contact order and booked him into the Buena Vista County Jail without bond.

 

Storm Lake man arrested on warrant


On Tuesday at 12:33 p.m. police were called to 1716 Tulip Lane #8 because of a wanted person being located.

Police located and arrested Lah Kpaw, 28, of Storm Lake who was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court in reference to an OWI.

Kpaw was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,000 bond.

 

Traffic violation leads to arrest of Missouri man


Wednesday night at approximately 11 p.m. a Storm Lake Police Officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East Fourth Street and Skewis Street for a traffic violation.

Police identified the driver as Ryan Simril, 27, of St. Louis.

It was determined that Simril was wanted out of St. Louis County, Mo. on a warrant charging him with felony theft.

Simril was arrested without incident and further charged by the Storm Lake Police Department with no driver’s license and operating a vehicle with expired registration.

He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,000 bond awaiting extradition.
