Rolfe couple face multiple drug charges
A woman and her boyfriend are in custody on numerous drug and traffic charges after failing to yield for a deputy on Dec. 14.
Pocahontas County Sheriff Robert Lampe said on Saturday night Pennie Lewis, 44, was taken into custody after a deputy attempted to stop her on a traffic stop. Instead of stopping Lewis continued to her Rolfe residence.
Once there she exited her vehicle to find her registration and make contact with her boyfriend, Eric Minard, 39.
Officers observed narcotics in the residence and both subjects were arrested and taken to the Pocahontas County Jail.
After getting a search warrant more drugs and drug paraphernalia were located.
Lewis was charged with keeping a house where drugs are used, possession of marijuana, driving while barred, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lewis is being held on $6,300 bond.
Minard is charged with keeping a house where drugs are used, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is held on $4,300 bond.
