Fake ID tacked onto charges against man with raft of credit cards
The Storm Lake Police Department announced that additional charges have been filed in connection with an investigation into the alleged fraudulent use of credit cards.
On Nov. 13 police arrested Yoirlan Tome Rojas, 33, of Storm Lake after seizing numerous credit cards, pre-paid debit cards, gift cards and blank credit cards following a search warrant executed by police at a residence located at 801 Erie St.
During the investigation Storm Lake Police discovered information and documentation that Rojas allegedly worked at the Tyson Plant in Storm Lake under an assumed identity between August of 2008 and February of 2009.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18 Storm Lake Police further charged Rojas with identity theft, forgery and tampering with records.
The additional charges were served on Rojas in the Buena Vista County Jail where he remains held from his November arrest on $100,000 bond.
