St. Mary’s girls topped by Sioux Central in league play

Nicole Hamilton scored a career-high 24 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds and tallied four steals to help lead Sioux Central to a 52-36 win over Storm Lake St. Mary’s on Tuesday night at Sioux Rapids.

Sioux Central jumped out to an 18-7 lead after the first quarter. It was 30-21 at halftime and 36-30 heading into the fourth period of play. The Rebels outscored the Panthers 16-6 in the final 8 minutes.

Mikayla Landsness contributed 10 points and three rebounds for the Rebels. Bailey McGuire added nine points and four assists.
