No. 1 Newell-Fonda scores 57 points in second half to knock off OA-BCIGv

Mustangs win 86-72

Brady Dicks and Brady Bohe each scored 25 points as No. 1-ranked Newell-Fonda scored 57 points in the second half to pull away and beat OA-BCIG 86-72 in a nonconference game on Tuesday night at Ida Grove.

The game was tied at 14-14 after the first quarter. OA-BCIG led 38-29 at halftime, but the Mustangs outscored the Falcons 27-19 in the third quarter to pull within 57-56 by the end of the third quarter. Newell-Fonda outscored the Falcons 30-15 in the final 8 minutes.
