St. Mary’s pulls away late to overcome rough outing

Panthers need 16-7 spurt in final 8 minutes

Storm Lake St. Mary’s outscored Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire 16-7 in the final 8 minutes as it went on to post a 50-41 win on Tuesday night at Ruthven.

The Panthers led 13-2 after the first quarter. It was 26-25 St. Mary’s at halftime and tied at 34-34 entering the fourth quarter of play.

Jasmine Demers led the Panthers with 25 points. Katie Lenhart scored eight points and Mackenzie Laven five. Emily Ivey, Riley Lenhart and Rachel Todd all scored four points.
