Slow start hurts SL in setback to Denison

Denison-Schleswig out-scored Storm Lake 12-2 in the first quarter and the Monarchs were never threatened after that as they handed the Tornadoes a 50-15 setback last Thursday night at Denison.

The Monarchs led 23-6 at halftime and 40-11 heading into the fourth period.

Naomi Castillo led Storm Lake with eight points, five steals and four rebounds. Haylee Lindquist added four points and two steals.

Diew Tay tallied two points and four rebounds. Nyajouk Lam scored one point. Teondra O’Brien had three rebounds.
