No. 1 N-F girls prove to be too much for St. Mary’s

Renee Maneman finished with 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals as Newell-Fonda, ranked No. 1 in Class 1A, outscored Storm Lake St. Mary’s 20-6 in the second quarter and went on to win    71-47 last Friday night at St. Mary’s.

The Mustangs led 16-12 after the first quarter. It was     36-18 at halftime and 56-28 heading into the fourth period.

Claudia Larsen charted 14 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Mustangs. Jade Hess added nine points.
