Beavers outlasted in shootout with N’western

Malarie Gilley scored 24 points and Susan Kies followed with 20, but it wasn’t enough as Northwestern (Minn.) outlasted Buena Vista in a shootout 110-100 last Saturday at Siebens Fieldhouse.

Gilley made 10 of her 11 shots from the field and also went 4-of-4 at the free throw line to turn in the second-highest point total of her career.

Kies made four of BVU’s 14 3-point baskets in the game with Lexi Fisher also connecting on four to finish with 15 points.
