Woman charged with child endangerment
On Wednesday morning police were called to 1008 Michigan St. because of a disturbance.
Witnesses could hear yelling and what appeared to be the breaking of glass, according to police.
Police contacted several adults and one child inside. Police say that an argument occurred between Amanda McIlvenna, 27, of Storm Lake and her boyfriend. Police arrested McIlvenna and charged her with child endangerment.
She was booked into BV County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
The child was not injured and was left in the custody of her father.
Girl allegedly texts death threats at high school
Police were called to Storm Lake High School on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. because of a threat.
A student reportedly received text messages from a former significant other threatening to kill a third party by stabbing them.
Police identified the subject as a 16-year-old girl.
She was charged with harassment and was released to a parent pending a court date.
