SL man arrested after refusing to listen to police
On Sunday at 2 a.m. a Storm Lake Police Officer on patrol observed an occupied vehicle sitting in the parking lot at Morelos Market located at 516 West Milwaukee Ave.
The officer approached the vehicle and alleged that the driver moved from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat.
After contacting the person, Carranza Hernandez, 40, of Storm Lake, police say he refused to answer questions, identify himself or exit the vehicle after being told to do so.
Police physically removed him from the vehicle and took him into custody.
After an investigation police charged Hernandez with operating while intoxicated and interference with official acts.
He was booked on $2,000 bond.
Wanted person jailed
On Friday at 12:37 a.m. the Storm Lake Police were called to 1008 East Milwaukee Ave. #5 because of a wanted person being located.
Police located and arrested Germain Orlando Coronel-Pastrana, 23, of Storm Lake.
Pastrana was wanted on a warrant out of Buena Vista County for failure to appear in court in reference to driving while barred.
Pastrana was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on $2,000 bond.
Wanted man surrenders himself to police
On Monday at 11:25 a.m. a wanted person surrendered himself to police at the police station.
Sammy Saengkio, 22, of Storm Lake, was arrested on a warrant in connection with an operating while intoxicated offense.
Saengkio was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
Man charged with criminal trespass
On Monday night at 10:38 Storm Lake Police were called to 430 Seneca Street #8 because of a trespass.
Upon arrival police located Julio Rivera-Conejo, 31, of Storm Lake, who allegedly had been told to leave the property but refused.
Police arrested Rivera-Conejo and charged him with criminal trespass.
He was booked on $300 bond.
Police arrest man on warrant
At 12:37 a.m. Friday morning a wanted person was located at 1008 East Milwaukee Ave.
Police arrived and located Germain Coronel-Pastrana, 25, of Storm Lake, on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court because of driving while barred.
Pastrana was booked on $2,000 bond.
Theft charges lead to arrest
On Saturday morning at 12:46 a wanted person was located at 520 Superior Street
Police located and arrested Clarissa Garza, 20, of Storm Lake, on a warrant charging her with theft.
Garza was booked on $300 bond.
Man reportedly gives police false information
At 2:00 a.m. Sunday a Storm Lake Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Lake Avenue.
After contacting the driver police say the driver provided police with false information about his identity.
Police arrested the driver and identified him as Howard Young, 24, of Storm Lake.
Young was charged with operating while intoxicated, driving while suspended and interference with official acts.
He was booked on $1,000 bond.
