City hopes state will fund $6.8M storm sewer project

Projected city share: $300,000

The state of Iowa has a new program that is set up to assist local government units with relieving flooding issues in their communities, an issue Storm Lake has faced for years.

The city believes that by bundling several projects the city can garner state funding to cover them all.

The city currently has the East Central Storm Water Project underway that is supposed to relieve flooding from Rose, Tulip and Violet Lane areas.
