SL’s Ramos takes 7th in 3A to qualify for second straight year

Storm Lake’s Fernando Ramos qualified for state for the second straight year.

Fernando Ramos will be making his second straight trip to the state cross country meet as he finished seventh in a Class 3A regional meet at Carroll last Thursday.

Boone, Algona and MOC-Floyd Valley finished first, second and third to advance to state, which will be this Saturday in Fort Dodge. Storm Lake placed ninth with 209 points.

Ramos ran a time of 17 minutes, 22 seconds to finish in the top 10. The wining time was 15:45 by Boone’s Chandler Austin.
