“Clowns, snakes or spiders will scare about anyone,” they say down in Schaller, but it’s the chainsaws they use for “scarin’ the snot out of ‘em.”

The Schaller Jaycee’s haunted house opens this weekend with a new clown room and an expanded chainsaw room.

There’s also the “tire room,” the “car room” and the maze.

Admission to the haunted house is $5.

Location is 207 W. 3rd St., the old popcorn plant.

It opens at 8 p.m. Oct. 18, 19, 25, 31 and Nov. 1.

Storm Lake’s usual haunts, Spooky Pointe and Spookyville are not operating this year.
