St. Mary’s downs MMC in close games for second straight win

two blocks to help St. Mary’s beat

Jasmine Demers went 29-for-33 in hitting with eight kills to help Storm Lake St. Mary’s beat Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn in a non-conference match on Tuesday at Marcus.

Game scores were 25-23,  27-25, 25-18.

Renae Drey went 18-for-20 in hitting with eight kills. Mackenzie Laven was 10-for-12 with five kills and Annie Flynn 11-for-15 with four kills.

Trisha Lenhart charted 13 set assists. Emily Ivey added seven. Laven led the team in digs with 13. Drey had 11, Ivey nine, Rachel Todd six and Demers five. Lenhart totaled four blocks. Demers and Drey each had two.
