SL can’t run ball, stop run in loss to No. 7 Carroll

Running the ball and stopping the run proved to be difficult for Storm Lake last Friday night.

Anthony Beyerink rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns and Jon Dvorak also ran for three touchdowns as Carroll, ranked seventh in Class 3A, rolled to a 48-7 win over Storm Lake in a district game at Carroll.

Carroll jumped out to a 35-7 lead at halftime.

Storm Lake was held to a minus 22 yards rushing in the game. Chase Lange led the Tornadoes with 12 yards on three carries.
