Ridge View off to 3-0 start after clipping Manson

Ryan Garthoff scored on a 34-yard run with about 5 minutes to go to give Ridge View the lead and then intercepted a pass with 19 seconds left to preserve a 30-28 win for Ridge View over Manson Northwest Webster in the district opener last Friday night at Manson.

Ridge View trailed 28-24 when it got possession of the ball with about 5 minutes to go. On the first play, Garthoff took the snap and ran up the middle for the go-ahead score.

Ridge View led 16-14 at halftime after a 50-yard TD pass from Garthoff to John Kofmehl and a 74-yard touchdown pass to Logan Richard.
