More teens cited in burglaries
Guns, money, jewelry stolen
Two more arrests have been made in connection with burglaries at a local residence and the Storm Lake High School concession stand, according to Storm Lake Police.
On Sept. 10, a 16-year-old from Madelia, Minn., formerly of Storm Lake, and Luis Eloy Sifuentes, 19, of Fonda were arrested.
The minor was charged with two counts of burglary and possession of a firearm. He turned himself in to the Storm Lake Police Department and was sent to the Cherokee YES Center.
Sifuentes was charged with two counts of burglary, one at 1020 Oak Lane and the other at the Storm Lake High School concession stand.
These charges came from a complaint on June 23 from a resident at 1020 Oak Lane who reported they had arrived home and found their house burglarized by suspects breaking in through a window on the main level.
Police say a rock was used to break the window.
Residents reported multiple firearms were taken from the residence as well as money, electronics and jewelry.
On June 24 police were notified of a burglary at the Storm Lake High School concession stand, where a rock was also used to enter the building.
Investigators recovered evidence linking the same suspects to the two burglaries.
