SL hopes meeting with Spirit Lake goes differently this ­­­­year

The last two years of playing Spirit Lake haven’t been pretty. The Indians have outscored the Tornadoes 107-18.

And they’ve done it with big plays early and often.

The Indians did that to Okoboji last week, scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter of a 63-0 win.

Storm Lake coach Craig Lyon said that can’t happen if his team wants to have a chance of knocking off the Indians tonight in Spirit Lake.

“They just jumped all over Okoboji early on,” he said. “They scored four touchdowns in the first quarter.
