Luck in one-run games goes St. Mary’s way this time

Panthers use botched play to beat G-T/R-A 3-2 in district semis

One-run games have not been very kind to Storm Lake St. Mary’s this season. The Panthers were just 1-5 in such contests.

Perhaps they were due for one of those type of victories as St. Mary’s scored the eventual go-ahead run in the fourth inning on a botched play to escape Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire 3-2 in a Class 1A district semifinal game last Thursday night at Alta.
