Newell-Fonda scored all eight of its runs in fifth inning to erase a 3-0 deficit as the Mustangs defeated Laurens-Marathon 8-6 in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Tuesday night at Fonda.

The eight-run inning was highlighted by a triple from Jake Hahn and a double from Rigo Johnson. Walks and passed balls also contributed to the uprising.

Brady Dicks pitched five innings and got the victory on the mound. Jason Hess pitched two innings in relief for the Mustangs, now 9-13 overall.
