Area schools drop tax rates on new state growth offer

Legislature hiked aid at session end

Local schools are reducing their property taxes after hearing the state of Iowa is giving 4% of allowable growth to all school districts.

Schools will be given 2% allowable growth and 2% in additional state funding for the first year, then it will turn into 4% allowable growth from that point forward.
